Our vision
In 2024 we worked with local people and organisations to create a vision and priorities to guide the partnership.
Our vision is for a Tayside where:
- Our food, energy, transport, housing, infrastructure and economy are resilient
- Nature and biodiversity are thriving, connected and managed at a landscape scale
- Climate adaptation is sufficiently funded, to deliver impactful action
- People, organisations and businesses understand climate risks and how to respond to them
- Groups are working together to build healthy, resilient communities and places
- Community voices shape local resilience actions and create co-benefits
- Adaptation is business as usual, mainstreamed into all policies, services, strategies and operation
Our priorities
To make our vision happen, Climate Ready Tayside is going to:
- Share clear communication to raise awareness of Tayside specific climate impacts and solutions
- Support the development of regional projects and innovative pilot projects for Tayside
- Promote nature-based solutions and landscape scale action
- Ensure adaptation action is fair and inclusive
- Make climate resilience business as usual in Tayside
- Share knowledge, data and resources across the region
- Attract regional funding and maximise existing resources
- Create sustainable and resilient food growing systems that feed local people
