Beach erosion in Montrose

Storm Babet flooding in Angus
Storm Babet brought unprecedented rainfall and flooding across Angus. Caroline Monro, a Brechin resident, was rescued by Scottish Fire & Rescue Service. This is a storm experience collected by the Angus Climate Hub as a community record of the impacts of Storm Babet.
Loss of lives and livelihoods
Angus suffered heartbreaking, life changing storms. Lives and livelihoods were lost. The impacts of these events will live with those affected. Angus Climate Hub is recording some of the brave, local voices of those involved, to understand what it is to live and work through these storms.
Urban ReLeaf Citizen Science Project
Urban ReLeaf, is a city-wide Horizon Uk funded, citizen-science initiative in Dundee, engaging the community to contribute their observations and perceptions of greenspaces across the city. By harnessing the collective input of citizens, the project strives to enhance the benefits derived from these greenspaces and ensure they cater to the diverse needs of the community. This is a European project being carried out with 5 other European Cities. It will run till summer 2026 and the data gathered will feed into Council strategies such as the Open Space Strategy, providing valuable citizen produce qualitative data.
